Biography
W.M. Savage was born in Arkansas. After highschool she relocated to Kansas City where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Kansas. Savage later moved to Oklahoma City and continued her education by obtaining a Master’s of Education degree in Creative Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma. She began her professional career teaching and writing curriculum, and eventually moved into the field of Social Work. She is now writes full time.
Savage has written poems, short stories, and three novels. Her first novel published is a coming-of-age work titled It’s Time for Your Close-Up (pen name Renee Kohl). Her second novel (unpublished) is young adult work titled Gabrio. Gabrio crosses several genres—adventure, historical fiction and fantasy. Savage most recently completed an adult historical fiction novel titled Souls of Wereth, which is mostly set in post-war Germany and Canada.
Savage currently resides in Oklahoma City. Her hobbies include collecting vintage art prints, reading, and traveling. She regularly attends writers’ conferences around the US and Canada, and takes great pleasure in traveling to gather background information for her novels. She is currently making plans to visit Central America and Europe.
